My Teaching Philosophy
- A language is not just a subject, it's a way of connecting with people and seeing the world. Culture is part of the language itself.
- Grammar and accuracy matter, but they are tools. The real goal is authentic communication: for students to express themselves, understand others, and feel a genuine connection to another culture.
- Students are met where they are, whether they need more structure, more conversation, or time to gain confidence.
- AP and IB preparation combines focused exam preparation with meaningful language development, helping students work toward excellent results while becoming more confident and independent users of Spanish.
- Technology can help, but nothing replaces the human exchange at the heart of learning.
